Summary
Resource Orders are a turn-in quest system. You accept a randomly generated resource-gathering deed from a Resource Gatherer NPC, fill the deed with the requested resource, and return the completed deed for gold, Rough Stones, a chance at a crafting power scroll, and (above certain order values) a chance at Apprentice or Journyman crafter-gear pieces or a Portable Forge. You may only receive one Resource Order Deed every 30 minutes per character.
How to Get an Order
- Locate a Resource Gatherer NPC and open its context menu to request an order.
- If your last order was issued less than 30 minutes ago, the NPC refuses with “You can only receive one order every 30 minutes. Please try again later.”
- Otherwise, a new Resource Order Deed is placed in your backpack and the 30-minute timer restarts.
- The deed is Blessed and weighs 1 stone.
An Obelisk of the Resource Gatherer can also dispense deeds with a 5-minute interval and 100 charges; each use adds a fresh Resource Order Deed to your backpack.
Filling an Order
- Double-click the deed (it must be in your backpack) and target a resource stack.
- The targeted resource must match the type the deed asks for. A mismatch gives “This is not the type of resource meant for this deed.”
- If the targeted stack has fewer pieces than the amount still needed, the entire stack is consumed and the deed updates (“You combine the resources with the deed.”).
- If the stack meets or exceeds the remaining amount, exactly the needed amount is taken, the deed is marked complete, and you see “You've completed the resource order deed. Return it to a resource gatherer!”
While in progress, the deed's tooltip shows “Amount Gathered / Amount To Gather Material Obtained
Valued at: Worth Gold Each”. Once completed it reads “Order Fulfilled [Amount Material]
Valued At: Worth Gold Each”.
Turning In an Order
Drag a completed deed onto a Resource Gatherer NPC.
- If the deed is not fulfilled, the NPC refuses with “This order is not fulfilled! I want resources, not just empty deeds!”
- Otherwise, rewards are delivered (see below).
- On success the deed is removed, your all-time and weekly rod completion counters increment, and the weekly ranking re-sorts.
- The 30-minute request cooldown is bypassed on a successful turn-in — you can request a new deed immediately.
- If you have the “Complete a Resource Order” daily task active, it is marked complete.
Order Value and Reward Tiers
Order value is calculated as Worth × Amount To Gather. Rewards are granted in three tiers based on this value.
Base Rewards (every order)
- Gold: order value / 2. Deposited into your account; if that fails, a Bank Check for the same amount is placed in your backpack.
- Rough Stones: order value / 10,000, minimum 1. Delivered as a single Rough Stone stack, and added to your weekly Rough Stones total (the weekly scoreboard tiebreaker).
Tier 1 — order value below 50,000
- 10% chance at a random crafting Power Scroll at value 105, 110, 115, or 120.
Tier 2 — order value 50,000 to 89,999
- 50% chance at a random crafting Power Scroll at value 105, 110, 115, or 120.
- 75% chance at a random Apprentice crafter-gear piece (102 possible pieces).
Tier 3 — order value 90,000 and above
- 15% chance at a Portable Forge.
- 75% chance at a random crafting Power Scroll at value 110, 115, or 120 (note: 105 is not in this tier's roll).
- 30% chance at a random Journyman crafter-gear piece (102 possible pieces).
Maximum Reachable Values
The highest possible order value is 125,000 (Sapphire, Emerald, or Amethyst at the maximum amount of 2,500 × worth 50 each). This yields a maximum gold payout of 62,500 and a maximum of 12 Rough Stones from a single order.
Power Scroll Skills
Each power-scroll reward picks one of the following twelve skills at random with equal weight:
- Tailoring
- Blacksmith
- Fletching
- Carpentry
- Inscribe (Inscription)
- Tinkering
- Imbuing
- Lumberjacking
- Mining
- Cartography
- Alchemy
- Forensics

Apprentice and Journyman Gear
Both Apprentice and Journyman drop tables contain 102 distinct pieces each (Apprentice from Tier 2 orders, Journyman from Tier 3 orders). Each piece grants a flat skill-point bonus to a crafting skill — for example, the Arms of the Apprentice Bowyer grants +5.0 Fletching, and the Arms of the Journyman Bowyer grants +10.0 Fletching.
Crafter trades covered by the gear sets include Bowyer, Cabinetmaker, Culinarian, Dabbler, Engraver, Farrier, Outfitter, Prospector, and Timber Cruiser, with both human and Gargish variants represented in the reward pool.
Storage
Resource Order Deeds can be stored in a Resource Order Book or its enhanced variant.
Weekly Ranking and Rewards
Every turn-in increments your weekly rod-completion count and marks the shared ranking list for re-sorting.
Ranking Sort Order
Players are sorted descending by:
- Weekly Rods Completed
- then Weekly Rough Stones Earned
- then All-Time Rods Completed
Scoreboard
A Resource Gatherer Rankings board opens the Top Resource Gatherers gump, which lists the top 20 weekly entries with name, guild abbreviation, weekly rods completed, and weekly rough stones. Name and guild filters are provided. Any player can also open the same gump with the [ResourceRank command.
Reset Schedule and Prize Bags
Rankings reset every Saturday at midnight UTC. When the reset fires:
- The current top 5 players are captured and stored as the previous week's winners.
- Every player's weekly Rods Completed and weekly Rough Stones Earned counters are cleared.
- A hue-1266 “Resource Gatherer Reward Bag” is placed in each winner's bank box containing SosarianCoins in the following amounts:
- 1st place — 200
- 2nd place — 150
- 3rd place — 100
- 4th place — 50
- 5th place — 50
- Each winner's placement is broadcast to the world, followed by “Resource gatherer rankings have been reset. The gathering begins anew!”
Two pre-reset broadcasts also go out:
- T-30 minutes: “The forges cool… Resource gatherer rankings will be judged in 30 minutes.”
- T-15 minutes: “The anvils fall silent… 15 minutes until resource scores are sealed.”
Resource Gatherer NPC
The Resource Gatherer is a blessed, invulnerable human male NPC titled “the Resource Gatherer”, equipped with a Fancy Shirt, Full Apron, Long Pants, Boots, and a Pickaxe. Their name is randomly assigned — there is no fixed personal name. When a player moves within 3 tiles, the NPC may bark one of ten competitive-gathering sayings, such as “The weekly gathering competition resets every Saturday. There's still time to climb the ranks!”
